Say No To Size Zero
“Some women were born to be a size zero, some were not. Everyone’s body image issues are real to them. Don’t spread hate - spread empowerment. I will never be a size zero…and I should not try to be. I only strive for HEALTH and WELLNESS not a NUMBER.”
Best campaign I’ve seen in a long time. She’s a size 12 and absolutely gorgeous. This is for all those girls out there, like myself, that have accepted we will never be the illusive size 0 because God never meant for us to be. He only ever meant for us to be healthy and strong and to love ourselves in our own unique beauty.
Stay strong. Stay beautiful.
yeah but this is also kind of backward. what about the girls who are a size zero? I’m not. I’ll admit it. I’m a size 12 or 14. Body shaming of any size isn’t acceptable. Size zero or size 20, it’s not okay to say one is wrong if that person is at a healthy weight for their body. So basically, “Say No To Zero”, while at the heart of it is well intentioned, is still not good.
It’s all about the pressures to be thin if you’re a so called “bigger girl.” I don’t think she meant any harm to anyone who is a size zero, nothing wrong with being ANY size. (as long as you’re healthy.) She did this campaign because she was hired by Wonderbra but they asked her to lose about 30 lbs before they would use her. And she said no, she didn’t want to lose the weight because she didn’t need to. She is against unhealthy weight loss in the modeling industry is all. I think she’s bangin’
